U.S. as seen from Canada
One of the most unusual maps of the USA we've ever seen. This map was hand-drawn by Russell Lenz in 1968 for publication in the prestigious Christian Science Monitor. A south-on-top map, it features meticulously hand-drawn rivers and mountain ranges. The divisions between states are represented by dotted lines, so one sees the physical relief features first and foremost. This is a view of North America as if one were seeing it from an orbiting space station somewhere over Canada. It's a perfect coloring activity for children, or for families working together. Once you've finished coloring it in, it will be a treasured and an unusual addition your child's bedroom wall or playroom or in a classroom. It's a great way to learn states, capitals, and physical geography. Send us a JPG (under 100K) of your finished map in your home (or school or place of work) and we'll send you another B&W map for free. Paper, folded map 2'x3' B&W.
