With global warming you can note the shrinkage of the ice sheet coverage, you can have your students use Google Earth and compare what's missing off this activity filled map. Includes details of the 1959 Antarctic Treaty. This is a great way to show students how much larger Antarctica is than the USA. There's even a slice of Antarctica that is unclaimed between the portions owned by New Zealand and Chile. Maybe with climate change you'll want to stake out a summer beachfront property?
